PPC1 salt cell is the replacement for the old RC-35/22 and SC-36 models. Unions are included with the cell, making installation simple and quick, and we recommend adding a new cord (see Related Items) when replacing the cell in order to prevent voiding product warranty.

The cell’s five blades provide potent chlorine generation, yet it’s easy to clean as needed with a solution of water and muriatic acid. Its longevity is also enhanced by the unique manifold design of Pool Pilot systems, which includes a strainer to keep debris out of the cell and a tri-sensor to determine if water flow, salt levels and water temperature are sufficient for chlorine generation.

The PPC1 is sufficient for up to 28,000 Gallons with the Digital Nano; Up to 40,000 gallons with the Digital, 75003 or Soft Touch.

Sizing:

When replacing your Autopilot salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell.The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The PPC-1 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 40,000 gallons. Note (If used with the Digital Nano+ the max capacity is 28,000 gallons.)

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell for the Autopilot Pool Pilot Digital is 100% compatible with original systems (no software/firmware issues). The PPC-1 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement. This 5-blade salt cell is the replacement for older systems previously named Autopilot RC-35/22, SC-36, and AP-36.

To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.
